Our Story
From one clinic to three
It started in 1987 with a single clinic on Merivale Road and a simple belief: eye care should be personal. That first team set out to build something different — a practice where patients felt heard, where the care was thorough, and where nobody rushed you out the door.
Nearly four decades later, that belief hasn't changed. Vision Care has grown into three locations across Ottawa — Merivale, Wellington, and Woodward — each one delivering the same warm, expert care that earned the trust of Ottawa families from the beginning.
Along the way, we added specialized services like dry eye treatment with IPL and Low Level Light Therapy, myopia control for children, and a curated eyewear collection that includes some of the world's most respected brands. At Wellington, we opened The Vault — Ottawa's most exclusive luxury eyewear experience featuring Cartier, Cazal and Loewe.
But the foundation hasn't moved. We still treat every patient with respect, compassion, and kindness. We still take the time to listen. And we still believe that great eye care starts with genuine human connection.
