Dr. Samra Brkic

Dr. Samra Brkic earned her Doctor of Optometry with Dean's Honours from the University of Waterloo in 2026, following an Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Mental Health (with a minor in Biology) from Carleton University in 2022. Her academic work was recognized with the University of Waterloo Prize for Academic Excellence in Ocular Pharmacology, the E.J. Chisholm Memorial Scholarship for proficiency in paediatric optometry, and Carleton University's Governor General's Academic Medal.

Dr. Brkic's goal with every patient is to build a personalized, comprehensive vision care plan that fits their unique needs and lifestyle — care that prioritizes long-term ocular health while staying practical and achievable. She is committed to keeping her practice current with gold-standard research so her patients receive the highest quality of care, and has completed the Office-based Laser and Minor Surgical Procedures course along with training in orthokeratology.

Dr. Brkic is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She provides care in English, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, and basic French. Outside the clinic, she enjoys time with family and friends, the outdoors, staying active, and baking — especially anything with chocolate.
