On Saturday June 3rd at 9:00am the Merivale Vision Care staff and our families gathered and laced up our shoes to participate in the Walk to End ALS in support of the ALS Society of Canada. The weather was perfect for a 5km walk, and it was a great time remembering loved ones, walking for those fighting their battle with ALS and raising funds to pour into future research to slow the progression and one day find a cure for ALS.

In May we hosted a Trunk Show where $25 for each pair of glasses sold was donated to the ALS Society of Canada. We’re so proud to share that in total we raised $2596.75! We couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you! Participating in the Walk to End ALS was a great way to conclude our fundraising initiative for the ALS Society of Canada and we can’t wait to pour more good into the world by helping others!

When it comes to supporting causes, as we move into June, we are taking no rest! Merivale Vision Care absolutely loves to support our LGBTQ+ friends and Pride Month, so just like last year the celebrations are set to continue as we celebrate Pride Month for all of June in the clinic.

Merivale Vision Care will be donating $4 for every eye exam conducted during the whole month of June to Kind Space, a fantastic local organization that promotes inclusivity and offers support to the LGBTQ+ community. Watch this space for more on Kind Space very soon!

Now is a great time to come and see us for your eye exam, because that exam will help you see your best and help support people in your community. Not only that, when you purchase your glasses or sunglasses with prescription lenses, you will receive 50% off the lenses of a second pair of prescription sunglasses. There isn’t a hotter deal for summer in our opinion! Don’t wait to come in and see us!
