Caroline Abram began designing jewels and accessories for the eyewear market in 1998. While working in designer boutiques she trained as an Optician, a health care practitioner that fits and dispenses eyeglasses. She adorned magnifying glasses and chains with stylish details to bring functional eyewear devices into the fashion world, but reviving the lesser-known lorgnette is what brought Caroline Abram international success. The lorgnette is a pair of glasses or opera glasses held in front of a person's eyes by a long handle on one side.

Caroline Abram is an award-winning and leading woman in business. She trained an entire team of women at a manufacturing facility in Dakar, that has for the last 15 years been fabricating all the lines under the Caroline Abram name. Frames and accessories are fabricated using diverse materials such as resin, wood, silver, and semi-precious stones, as well as other high-quality metals and acetates. In 2008 Caroline Abram launched her own line of eyeglasses frames that resonate the energy of old-fashioned Miami, the 1960s, and vintage fashion.
