We are donating $10 from each pair of glasses purchased to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa!

The Merivale Vision Care team is so proud to share that during July and August we are donating $10 from each pair of glasses purchased to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BCGO). This year our donation will help to provide 300 youth in need who will attend grades 7 through 12 with backpacks stuffed to the zippers with everything they need to start the school year off right! We partnered with the BGCO last year to help 210 children and youth, and it was a wonderful success. We knew this year we just had to do it all again. What supplies will these students receive in their bags? Check it out!

The MVC team wanted to make sure these amazing students received excellent quality schoolbags that would last them the entire year. The backpacks are durable and styled in a variety of colours and patterns. Each student will receive a backpack from brands such as Sketchers, Bench, Puma, and more! We are also including a water bottle for each student, kindly provided by our friends at Transitions and Safilo, so they can stay hydrated during those long study sessions.

Our friends at Shamir and Nikon have kindly made monetary donations towards the school supplies that fill the backpacks. The supplies included in the bags include binders, notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, pencil cases, sticky notes, and more. Since all the students we are helping this year are older, we have included math sets and scientific calculators for those next-level math and science classes.

Don’t wait, now is the perfect time for you to come in to see us because when you purchase your new glasses, we will donate $10 on your behalf to the BGCO! You will be seeing your best all while helping these super students start off their school year with all the tools they need for a great school year.
